8.1 Accusative Case of Animate Nouns
In this module, you will learn the accusative case forms for singular and plural animate nouns and review the accusative case forms for inanimate nouns.

However, note how in the dialogues that have animate masculine nouns as direct objects, the accusative case endings on the nouns coincide with the genitive case endings – whether singular or plural.
– Ти лю́биш борщ? – Я ду́же лю́блю борщ! |
– Ти лю́биш Макси́ма? – Я коха́ю Макси́ма. |
– Ти ма́єш на́ші квитки́? – Так, звича́йно! Я ма́ю квитки́. |

However, note how in the subsequent dialogues, which have feminine plural nouns as direct objects, the accusative form of inanimate nouns coincides with the nominative plural endings while the accusative form of animate nouns coincides with the genitive plural endings.
