In this module, we will return to the formation of nouns in the locative case, but will focus on changes that occur to consonants that precede the ending.

Only a small group of masculine nouns ending in -к, -г and -х take the endings -ці, -зі, and -сі respectively in the locative case. As you will learn in module 4.4, the rest of the masculine nouns ending in -к will add the ending -у and not undergo any stem changes. Compare:
урок – на уро́ці
банк – в ба́нку
